Our Coffee Journey
En’route began with a simple belief - great coffee shouldn’t be hard to find.
Allan, was born in New Zealand and moved to Australia at 19, growing up surrounded by some of the world’s best cafés - where good coffee was simply the standard. Ten years later, that journey led him to London, eager to experience a new side of the world.
What he found was a gap. While London was full of incredible coffee, it was often missing in the places people passed through every day - train stations, markets and festivals. So Allan decided to change the narrative and started brewing.
What began as a small coffee van at a local Clapham market quickly grew into something bigger, taking En’route across the UK to some of the country’s leading festivals and events. Three years on, that journey brought us to our first permanent home - a café in the heart of Sidcup where we continue to push our brews to the next level.
Today, En’route is a small, independent, family-owned and operated business, built on passion, community, and a genuine love for specialty coffee.
Every cup we serve reflects where we’ve come from and where we’re heading.
Join us as we continue our journey, elevating coffee - one brew at a time.
